About the Salon Hair Elegance is a quaint and intimate salon located in the heart of old town Gaithersburg, Maryland. Here, the client always receives a warm, welcoming feeling and leaves with a beautiful glow. About the OwnerChanelle Stinson is a graduate of Dudley Beauty Academy located in Washington, D.C. and a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Maryland. She received professional training in coloring, cutting, hair care and styling. Chanelle then continued her cosmetology education at Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England, where she learned advanced techniques in classic cuts and color. Chanelle believes in education and continues to expand her professional development through taking classes, attending seminars, and participating in hair shows. Taking Care of ClientsStaying current with the latest and best products on the market allows Chanelle to individually customize treatments for each client. Chanelle is an expert in hair extensions. Her hair weaving repertoire includes bonding, sewn-in, fusion, Malaysian, and lace-fronts. This expertise enables her to help a wide variety of clients - the client that may experience hair loss, the client who wants to take a break from chemical processing, the client who wants a total make-over, or the client who just wants to add length to their own hair. With LoveSince the age of 10, Chanelle has always been passionate about hair. Other than God, family and friends there is nothing else that fulfills her more than the quality and time she devotes to her clients’ hair care needs.

Awards and Publications Chanelle is an award-winning stylist. Some of her honors include Student Stylist of the Year at Dudley Beauty Academy and Student Stylist for the Golden Scissors Hair Show. Most recently, Chanelle’s creations were featured in the May 2007 issue of Sophisticate's Black Hairstyles. Look for more layouts from Chanelle in the 2008 issue of Mazza.
